COD Challengers Scouting Series

COD Challengers Scouting Series

The COD Challengers Scouting Series brings together 2020’s top Challengers competitors and unsigned pros for a multi-day event to showcase their expertise in scrimmages hosted by each Call of Duty League team. Across four days in December, CDL coaches will draft squads from a pool of invited players and compete against teams drafted by rival coaches and general managers in the Call of Duty League.

More Details

Call of Duty Challengers Scouting Series is built to give the League’s future stars a platform to showcase their skills. Likewise, the event offers pro teams a closer look at the top-ranked talent that has yet to be signed to a Call of Duty League contract.

Call of Duty Challengers Scouting Series will be held from December 15th through December 18th, 2020.

During each day of the 2021 Call of Duty Challengers Scouting Series, coaches from across the League will draft a four-person team from a pool of invited players for competition. See below for additional information.

Scouting reports will be provided to each Call of Duty League organization, providing them with the valuable intel needed on prospects within the Call of Duty Esports ecosystem. Participating players and Call of Duty League teams will also have an opportunity, if they choose, to stream Scouting Series matches.

Players will compete in Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War and must meet all eligibility requirements for Call of Duty Challengers competition.

For more information check out the Call of Duty League’s official Challengers Scouting series blog post.

Players and Teams

The Scouting Series is an invite-only event.

A total of 128 players will be invited to the event (64 players in North America and 64 in Europe). Invitations are determined by points collected during the 2020 season. The event will feature a mixture of the top-ranked Call of Duty Challengers players and unsigned Call of Duty League pro players from the 2020 season. During each day of the four-day event, 48 players per region will be drafted into matches by Call of Duty League teams.

The event will be held online. North American players will only compete against players in North America. Likewise, players in Europe will only compete in matches against players in Europe.

The final event schedule and additional information about the daily draft process will be announced in the future. The final list of participating players is subject to change based on invitation acceptance.

Streams

Players are eligible to stream any match they participate in.

Keep an eye on the official social channels for each team in the Call of Duty League, as teams will have the ability–if they choose–to stream Scouting Series scrimmages. Call of Duty League will not stream the event.
